I have a free version of AVG. When I go into the program it says it is up to date, but when I get E mail, the virus message at the bottom says internal virus data base is out of date. It is on October 16 now. Any suggestions to update this so it shows correctly? I did the update manager deal by hitting the key U and it says the program is updated. Any suggestions? AVG is showing up in the system tray.
try doing the update deal a couple of times and wait and see if anything happens. I have had that problem a couple of times.
I found out it says invalid CTF file. What does that mean?
wow, haven't had that one before. Did you try uninstalling and then reinstalling?
can't do that by myself, so am waiting for sighted help. I think that's what he will do reinstall it, but do wonder if I should switch to another antivirus program. I have comcast and Macafee is free for me. Anybody out there use macafee with jaws and how well or how badly does it work? I can't keep having a glitch like this because I have no assistance here to immediately fix the problem.
